Law #28 of the 48 Laws of Power, “Enter Action With Boldness.” That’s the approach you should take when it comes to travel.
You want to see how big and beautiful the world really is. You hang on every word your friends and coworkers say when they spill the details about their last trip to some foreign location. But you never have a story. You’re always too busy. You never have enough money. It’s never quite the “perfect” time to travel. Or is it?
The fact of the matter is this, it’s always the right time to travel. Picking up and going is way easier than most people think. But you’ll never know if you don’t, go. Leave the infinite number of excuses disguised as “reasons” at home and in the past. Your secure desk job, money matters, your buddy’s house warming, your sister’s pregnancy, someone else’s bad experience abroad, the list goes on and on; these will be the little voices in your head telling you not to go. Tune them out and get on with it.
What do you have to lose? Absolutely nothing!
What do you have to gain? New friends, cool stories, awesome photos, life experience and so much more!
No more procrastination. Take initiative. Make a move and be gone.
The world is at your fingertips. So wave “hello” to new places, faces and adventures, and “see you later” to the places you’ve grown accustomed to. You’ll be a better person for it.
